Dress Code & Dancewear

Wearing the proper dance attire helps dancers move safely, receive better corrections, and get the most out of every class. Below you'll find our dress code by class style, along with information about purchasing dancewear.

General Dress Code

The closer your dancer's outfit is to the example on the right,

the easier it is for them to move comfortably and safely in class.

Baggy clothing and loungewear are great before or after class, but not during dance class. Loose clothing and hair that isn't secured can get in the way of movement, make it harder for teachers to give corrections, and even create a safety hazard.

Shorts, leggings, fitted T-shirts, and tank tops are all good choices for dance class. Hair should be securely pulled back so it stays out of the dancer's face. These outfits work well, but dancewear is the best choice for comfort, movement, and performance.

The ideal outfit for dance class is fitted and breathable. Hair should be securely pulled back so dancers can focus on movement without distractions. Wearing proper dance attire helps teachers see alignment, give better corrections, and helps dancers progress more quickly.
