Building lasting relationships with students and helping them discover what they're capable of.
Julie began dancing at a young age and pursued advanced training throughout high school and college. She studied at Sara's School of Dance, Fort Wayne Ballet, and IPFW, where she performed in five productions of Purely Dance in both solo and ensemble roles. She also received semi-private training from Theresa Hornbacher, former ballet mistress of Fort Wayne Ballet. After college, Julie had the opportunity to train and perform with Mikautadze Dance Theater, a modern dance company in Fort Wayne, before turning her focus to teaching and raising her family.
Julie began teaching dance at just 17 years old and has now spent more than 20 years sharing her love of dance with young dancers. Before opening her own studio, she taught at several area dance studios, including Tricia's School of Dance, Steppin' Out Studio of Dance, and TC Dance Academy.
In 2013, Julie started a small community dance program at her church called Leaps of Faith. What began as a handful of classes quickly grew into a thriving program. In 2019, she officially opened Leaps of Faith Dance Academy, and just a few years later, the studio outgrew its original location. The move to a larger facility marked the beginning of a new chapter as Studio A Dance Center.
Today, Julie's passion is creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers of every age and ability can discover a love of dance, build lifelong friendships, and grow into confident young people. Julie lives in Angola with her husband, Jake, their four children—Logan, Elaina, Cecelia, and Gavin—and their four cats. When she's not at the studio, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her children's activities.

Creating and fostering relationships while sharing my passion for dance with all of my students!
Brooke began dancing at the age of 3 and has been training and teaching ever since. Her passion for dance started at Steppin' Out Studio of Dance and Tiffany & Company Studio of Dance in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There, she trained and competed in a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hiphop, tap, contemporary, and lyrical. She also expanded her training by attending professional dance conventions in cities across the country.
